Tayrine joined the RDR team in 2024. Prior to joining the World Benchmarking Alliance in 2024, she completed a PhD in Information and Knowledge Society at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. As a researcher on the Digital team at WBA (which encompassed RDR), she conducted research for the 2026 Digital Inclusion Benchmark, specializing in gender-related risks and harms linked to tech companies and supporting the development of the benchmark’s 2026 methodology. In 2025, she led a collaborative project with the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre that spotlighted a range of gender-related harms associated with several large technology companies, combining data and insights from RDR, WBA, and BHRRC. Previously, she coordinated or co-led numerous research projects focusing on data feminism, digital participation, digital inclusion and other topics for EU Horizon 2020 projects, Wikimedia Foundation, Open Society Foundation, and other organizations in Spain and Brazil. Tayrine also holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Brasília. She is originally from Brazil.
