Samantha joined RDR as its Research Lead at the World Benchmarking Alliance (2024-25). Before that, she led and managed research for the Digital Inclusion Benchmark at WBA. She is an AI Openness and Equity Fellow at Aspiration’s Policy Leadership Initiative. Previously, she was a Green Web Foundation Fellow where her work used an intersectional approach to understanding the impacts of data centres on people in South Africa. In addition, she was a member of the Center for AI and Digital Policy Research Group, a researcher with the Building Bridges Foundation and a Senior Research Associate with the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab. She received her Masters in Quantitative Economics with a focus on Public Policy and Development from the Paris School of Economics. She is originally from South Africa.
